Landscape Designing

This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of creating aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor spaces. It covers fundamental principles, practical techniques, and project-based learning to prepare students for a successful career in landscape design.

Overview

The course begins with an introduction to landscape design, covering its principles and elements. Students will explore various types of landscapes and delve into horticulture, learning about different types of plants, their uses, and arrangements.

The curriculum includes the study of garden types, plant leaf arrangements, types of flooring and compound walls, and gates. Practical experience is emphasized through at least two projects, one involving drafting and the other utilizing AutoCAD.

Career Opportunities

Graduates can pursue careers as landscape designers, horticulturists, garden consultants, urban planners, and landscape architects.

Employment opportunities are available in landscape architecture firms, design consultancies, urban planning departments, and as independent contractors offering design services for residential, commercial, and public spaces.
